“Scutellaria Lepidoptera, the skull-winged moth, finds solace inside hollow logs found on the floors of ancient forests. Every year, the Scutellaria collects bones, lichen, and flower petals and brings them back to the hollow log. These natural materials are used to create unique sculptures that capture the essence of the forest. The Scutellaria can often be seen placing these sculptures in many areas between trees so they can eventually become homes for smaller creatures nearby.”

Each plush creation from Earth Wrinkles is imagined and manifested by artist, Kaithlyn Cortez. These whimsical companions are made with high quality faux furs and various fabrics from both new & recycled materials. Each one is sewn a handmade leather tag with the year burnt on the back; they are filled with Poly-Fil, which is made from recycled materials and they are also stuffed with fabric scraps to reduce waste. Each one is crafted with love, care, and attention to detail.
Each unique creation is paired with a specially designed story card and a Certificate of Adoption.
